Build your skills across different roads and situations
Learning to drive confidently means experiencing more than the same few roads every week.
Your lessons will progressively expose you to different driving environments, such as town and urban driving, roundabouts and major junctions, rural and country roads, faster roads and dual carriageways- all helping you develop car control, awareness, forward planning, judgement and anticipation.
Coleraine & Ballymena test preparation
When you're preparing for your practical test, we'll make sure your training includes the types of roads, junctions, roundabouts and situations you're likely to encounter around your chosen test centre.
The aim isn't to memorise a route. It's to develop the skills to handle whatever road the examiner puts you on.
Pick-up & lesson flexibility
We can usually arrange pick-up and drop-off from your home or a convenient local point within our coverage area. Any changes to a usual pick up drop off needs to be arranged in advance.

Where do you offer driving lessons?
MD Driving is based in Ballycastle and generally covers areas within around a 30-minute drive, including Ballycastle, Ballymoney, Bushmills, Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart. Ballymena is also covered for learners preparing for their driving test there.
When's the latest I can cancel a lesson?
48 hours prior to your lesson. Lessons cancelled without a good reason inside this would be charged at full rate.
Can I be picked up from home?
Usually, yes. We can arrange pick-up and drop-off from your home or another convenient local location within the coverage area.
Do you teach manual driving?
Yes. MD Driving specialises in manual driving lessons.
Do you cover areas outside the locations listed?
